Best Dua for Seeking Forgiveness (Syed-ul-Istighfar)

Shaddad bin Aus (Radhi Allah Anh) said: Prophet Muhammad (Sal Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said, “The best supplication for seeking forgiveness (Syed-ul-Istighfar) is to say:  


اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ رَبِّيْ ، لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِيْ وَاَنَا عَبْدُكَ ، وَاَنَا عَلَی عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ ، اَبُوْءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ ، وَ اَبُوْءُ بِذَنْبِي ، فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ ، فَاِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ

Allâhumma Anta Rabbî, lâ ilâha illâ Anta, khalaqtanî wa anâ 'abduka, wa anâ 'alâ 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, a'ûdhu bika min sharri mâ sana'tu, abû'u laka bini'maktika 'alayya, wa abû'u bidhanbî, faghfir lî, fa innahu lâ yaghfirudh-dhunûba illâ Anta

O Allah! You are my Rabb. There is no true god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favors that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon

Whoever makes this dua during the day with firm belief in it and dies on the same day (before the evening) he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah (Paradise); and whoever makes this dua during the night with firm belief in it and dies before the morning, he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah (Paradise).”

× মৃত্যুর সময় যে আপসোস রয়ে যাবে! রাকিব আলী   -   অগাস্ট ৩০, ২০২৪    ৬৪৮ বার পঠিত   মানুষের সামনে যখন মৃত্যু এসে হাযির হবে, যখন মালাকুল মাউত তার জান ক্ববয করার প্রস্তুতি নিবেন, তখন সে কী নিয়ে আপসোস করবে, জানেন? মৃত্যুর মতো কঠিন মুহূর্তে তার আপসোসের বিষয় হবে দান-ছাদাক্বা। ঠিক এ ব্যাপারে আল্লাহ তাআলা বলেছেন,وَأَنْفِقُوا مِنْ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلَا أَخَّرْتَنِي إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُنْ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ ‘আর আমি তোমাদেরকে যে রিযিক্ব দিয়েছি, তোমরা তা থেকে ব্যয় করবে তোমাদের কারও মৃত্যু আসার আগে আগেই। (অন্যথা মৃত্যু আসলে সে বলবে,) হে আমার রব! আমাকে আরো কিছু সময়ের জন্য সুযোগ দিলে আমি দান-ছাদাক্বা করতাম এবং নেককারদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যেতাম!’  (আল-মুনাফিকূন, ৬৩/১০) । বান্দার এই আক্ষেপের প্রেক্ষিতে আল্লাহ বলছেন,وَلَنْ يُؤَخِّرَ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهَا وَاللَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ‘যখন কারো নির্ধারিত সময় উপস্থিত হয়ে যাবে, তখন আল্লাহ তাকে কিছুতেই অবকাশ দেবেন না। তোম...

বিষয়__ (১) জুম‘আর ছালাতের জন্য দুই আযান দেওয়া

গ্রন্থঃ জাল হাদীছের কবলে রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ)-এর ছালাত অধ্যায়ঃ ছালাতুল জুম‘আ  জুম‘আর ছালাতের জন্য দুই আযান দেওয়ার যে প্রথা সমাজে চালু আছে তা সুন্নাত সম্মত নয়। জুম‘আর আযান হবে একটি। ইমাম খুৎবা দেওয়ার জন্য যখন মিম্বরে বসবেন, তখন মুয়াযযিন আযান দিবে।[1] রাসূল (ছাঃ), আবুবকর ও ওমর (রাঃ)-এর আমলে এবং ওছমান (রাঃ)-এর খেলাফতের প্রথমাংশে জুম‘আর আযান একটিই ছিল। অতঃপর মানুষের সংখ্যা যখন বেড়ে গেল, তখন ওছমান (রাঃ) মসজিদে নববীর অনতিদূরে ‘যাওরা’ নামক বাজারে জুম‘আর পূর্বে আরেকটি আযান চালু করেন।[2] ওছমান (রাঃ) যে কারণে আরেকটি আযান চালু করেছিলেন, কোথাও উক্ত কারণ বিদ্যমান থাকলে তা এখনো চালু করা জায়েয। কারণ খুলাফায়ে রাশেদ্বীনের সুন্নাতের অনুসরণে ওছমান (রাঃ)-এর আযান যদি সকল মসজিদের জন্য পালনীয় হত, তাহলে তিনি মক্কায় চালু করলেন না কেন? অনুরূপ অন্যান্য মসজিদে চালু হল না কেন? আলী (রাঃ)-এর আমল পর্যন্ত অন্য কোথাও উক্ত আযান চালু হয়নি। এমনকি মক্কাতেও চালু হয়নি। বর্তমানে আমরা কি উক্ত আযান চালু করে ছাহাবীদের চেয়ে বেশী দ্বীনদারীর ভাব দেখাতে চাই? এ জন্যই হয়ত ইবনু ওমর (রাঃ) উক্ত আযানকে বিদ‘আত বলেছেন।[3] অনুরূপ ইমাম কুরতু...

পরিচ্ছেদ__ বিশাল একটি ধোঁয়ার আগমণ - বড় আলামত

 কিয়ামতের অন্যতম বড় আলামত হচ্ছে আখেরী যামানায় কিয়ামতের সন্নিকটবর্তী সময়ে বিশাল আকারের একটি ধোঁয়া বের হয়ে আকাশ এবং যমীনের মধ্যবর্তী খালি জায়গা পূর্ণ করে ফেলবে। এই ধোঁয়া মুমিন ব্যক্তিদেরকে সামান্য একটু সর্দি-কাশি ও জ্বরে আক্রান্ত করে দিবে। কাফেরদের শরীরের ভিতরে প্রচন্ডভাবে প্রবেশ করবে। ফলে তাদের শরীর ফুলে যাবে এবং শরীরের প্রতিটি ছিদ্র দিয়ে ধোঁয়া বের হবে। এটি তাদের জন্য একটি যন্ত্রনাদায়ক আযাবে পরিণত হবে। আললাহ তাআলা বলেনঃ )فَارْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي السَّمَاءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُبِينٍ (১০) يَغْشَى النَّاسَ هَذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ (১১) رَبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ (১২) أَنَّى لَهُمْ الذِّكْرَى وَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُبِينٌ (১৩) ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا مُعَلَّمٌ مَجْنُونٌ (১৪) إِنَّا كَاشِفُوْا الْعَذَابِ قَلِيْلًا إِنّكُمْ عَائِدُوْنَ (১৫)( ‘‘অতএব তুমি অপেক্ষা করো সেই দিনের যেদিন আকাশ ধোঁয়ায় আচ্ছন্ন হবে এবং তা আচ্ছন্ন করে ফেলবে মানব জাতিকে। এটা হবে এক যন্ত্রনাদায়ক শাস্তি। তখন তারা বলবেঃ হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আমাদেরকে এই শাস্তি হতে মুক্তি দিন আমরা ঈমান আনয়ন ক...

  Abandoning the Prayer is from the Most Dangerous of Sins (Imām Adh-Dhahabi)  Al-Imām Al-Hāfidh Abu Abdillāh Muhammad bin Ahmad Adh-Dhahabi (d. 748H, rahimahullāh) mentioned abandoning the Prayer (As-Salāt)  as the fourth major sin  in his tremendous work entitled,  “The Major Sins (Al-Kabā’ir).”  The following is an abridgement of the  Chapter: Abandoning the Prayer . Allah, the Most High, stated: فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا – 19:59 “But then, there came after them those who gave up the Prayers (Salāt) and they followed their lusts. Allah's Promises :

To those who will come into His Presence as believers, Allah gives the promise of Paradise, wherein they will remain forever. As there is no doubt that this promise will be fulfilled, those who believe with certainty will never doubt its truth. Moreover, if they have surrendered their souls to Him as believers, they know that their sins will be forgiven and that they will be accepted into Paradise. The following verse makes this clear: Gardens of Eden which the All-Merciful has promised to His servants in the Unseen. His promise is always kept. (Surah Maryam, 61) The fact that Allah has promised Paradise to believers brings them an indescribable joy and enthusiasm. They know that Allah wills Paradise for His faithful servants, and that He has made them its heirs. পরিচ্ছেদঃ ১৯৪১। আল্লাহ্ তা'য়ালা বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে কিছু বান্দার সাথে কিয়ামতের দিন কথা বলবেন না, তাদেরকে পবিত্র এবং পরিচ্ছন্ন করবেন না এবং তাদের দিকে দৃষ্টিও দিবেন নাঃ পিতা-মাতা থেকে বিমুখ হয়ে তাদের দু'জন থেকে নিজেকে মুক্তকারী ব্যক্তি, পিতা কর্তৃক তার সন্তান হতে নিজেকে মুক্তকারী ব্যক্তি এবং সেই ব্যক্তি যাকে কোন সম্প্রদায় সহযোগিতা করেছে, অতঃপর সে তাদের সহযোগিতাকে অস্বীকার করে তাদের থেকে নিজেকে মুক্ত করে নিয়েছে। হাদিসটি দুর্বল। এটিকে ইবনু ওয়াহাব “আলজামে” গ্রন্থে (পৃঃ ২-৩) যাব্বান ইবনু ফায়েদ হতে, তিনি সাহল ইবনু মু'আয হতে, তিনি তার পিতা হতে মারফূ' হিসেবে বর্ণনা করেছেন। আমি (আলবানী) বলছিঃ এ সনদটি দুর্বল। যাব্বান ইবনু ফায়েদ সম্পর্কে হাফিয ইবনু হাজার বলেনঃ তিনি নেককার ইবাদাতগার হওয়া সত্ত্বেও তিনি হাদীসের ক্ষেত্রে দুর্বল। من العباد عباد لا يكلمهم الله يوم القيامة ولا يزكيهم ولا يطهرهم ولا ينظر إليهم: المتبرىء من والديه رغبة عنهما، والمتبرىء من ولده، ورجل أنعم عليه قوم فكفر نعمتهم وتبرأ منهم ضعيف - رواه ابن وهب في " الجامع " (2 - 3) عن زبان بن فائد عن سهل بن مع...
