What are the Sunnahs and etiquettes that we should act in accordance with on the day of Eid?_

Praise be to Allah. The Sunnahs that the Muslim should observe on the day of Eid are as follows:  1 – Doing ghusl before going out to the prayer.  It was narrated in a saheeh hadeeth in al-Muwatta’ and elsewhere that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar used to do ghusl on the day of al-Fitr before going out to the prayer-place in the morning. Al-Muwatta’ 428.  Al- Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said that the Muslims were unanimously agreed that it is mustahabb to do ghusl for Eid prayer.  The reason why it is mustahabb is the same reason as that for doing ghusl before Jumu’ah and other public gatherings. Rather on Eid the reason is even stronger.  2 – Eating before going out to pray on Eid al-Fitr and after the prayer on Eid al-Adha:  Part of the etiquette is not to go out to pray on Eid al-Fitr until one has eaten some dates, because of the hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari from Anas ibn Maalik, who said that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah b...

Narrated Abdullah ibn Khubayb: We went out one rainy and intensely dark night to look for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to lead us in prayer, and when we found him, he asked: Have you prayed?, but I did not say anything. So he said: Say, but I did not say anything. He again said: Say, but I did not say anything. He then said: Say. So I said: What am I to say? He said: Say: "Say, Qulhu allahu aahad, sura falaq and Sura Nas;  three times in the morning and evening; they will serve you for every purpose. Suhih Muslim  Book 41, Number 6: Harith b Abi Rabi'a and 'Abdullah b. Safwan both went to Umm Salama, the Mother of the Faithful, and they asked her about the army which would be sunk in the earth, and this relates to the time when Ibn Zubair (was the governor of Mecca). She reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) had said that a seeker of refuge would seek refuge in the Sacred House and an army would be sent to him (in order to kill him) and when it would enter a plain ground, it would be made to sink. From Shaykh,  Allaama, Mufti  of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdul Azeez bin Abdullaah Bin Baz by Umm Yahya  The Noble Shaykh Bin Baz  -Rahimullaah-  was asked: ‘The reward for reciting the Book of Allaah is evident. Is there a reward for reading Hadeeth too?’ The Shaykh replied: ‘There is a great reward for reading the Noble Qur’an in terms of coming closer to Allaah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, as is reading and memorizing the Hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah  -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam . And this is because it is worship of Allaah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala (in pursuit of) acquiring knowledge and a greater understanding of the religion. বিদ‘আতের সংজ্ঞা  আল্লাহর নিকট ইসলামই হচ্ছে একমাত্র মনোনীত দীন। আল-কুরআনে তিনি বলেন, ﴿وَمَن يَبۡتَغِ غَيۡرَ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمِ دِينٗا فَلَن يُقۡبَلَ مِنۡهُ﴾ [ال عمران: ٨٥] ‘‘যে ব্যক্তি ইসলাম ছাড়া অন্য কোনো দীন অনুসন্ধান করে, তা কখনোই তার কাছ থেকে গ্রহণ করা হবে না’’। [সূরা আলে ইমরান, আয়াত: ৮৫] এ দীনকে পরিপূর্ণ করার ঘোষণাও আল্লাহ আল-কুরআনে দিয়েছেন, ﴿ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمَ دِينٗا﴾ [المائ‍دة: ٣] ‘‘আজ আমি তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের দীনকে পরিপূর্ণ করে দিলাম এবং ইসলামকে তোমাদের জন্য দীন হিসেবে মনোনীত করলাম।’’ [সূরা আল-মায়েদা, আয়াত: ৩] এ ঘোষণার পর আল-কুরআন ও সুন্নাহ’র বাইরে দীনের মধ্যে নতুন কোনো বিষয় সংযোজিত হওয়ার পথ চিরতরে রুদ্ধ হয়ে গেল এবং বিদ‘আত তথা নতুন যে কোনো বিষয় দীনী আমল ও আকীদা হিসেবে দীনের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হওয়াও হারাম হয়ে গেল। এ আলোচনায় বিদ‘আতের সংক্ষিপ্ত পরিচয় তুলে ধরার পাশাপাশি কীভাবে আমাদের সমাজে প্রচলিত বিদ‘আতগুলোকে সনাক্ত করা যায় সে সম্পর্কিত মূলনীতি তুলে ধরা হবে। বিদ‘আতের সংজ্ঞা: বিদ‘আত শব্দের আভিধানিক অর্থ হলো: ا...
