Chapter___ Raising Index Finger in Tashahhud

Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar  said: “When the Prophet (ﷺ) sat for Tashahhud, he placed his left hand on his left knee and placed his right hand on his right knee, and he formed a ring like, and he pointed with his index finger (to indicate the Oneness of Allah).” [Muslim] saw

Besides, ‘Abdullah Ibn az-Zubayr  narrated: “When the Prophet (ﷺ) sat for “Tashahhud”, he placed his rightsae hand on his right thigh and his left hand on his left thigh, and pointed with his forefinger, and placed his thumb on his (middle) finger, and covered his knee with the palm of his left hand.” [Muslim]

The second narration gives some explanation to the state mentioned in the first narration.

There is another narration from Waa’il Ibn Hujr  that: “He saw the Prophet (ﷺ) when he sat in prayer, that he spread out his left foot and placed his hands on his thighs and pointed with his index finger supplicating in this way.” [An-Nasaa’i and others]

Supplications after the Fard Salah (Obligatory Prayer) :

Once a person has finished the Prayer, he should make the following supplications: أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ  Astaghfirullāh, astaghfirullāh, astaghfirullāh “I ask Allah for forgiveness”  3 times. (Muslim no. 591) اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ Allāhumma antas-salām, wa minkas-salām, tabārakta yā dhal-jalāli wal-‘ikrām. “O Allah, You are As-Salām (Peace), and from you is As-Salām. বিদ‘আতের সংজ্ঞা  আল্লাহর নিকট ইসলামই হচ্ছে একমাত্র মনোনীত দীন। আল-কুরআনে তিনি বলেন, ﴿وَمَن يَبۡتَغِ غَيۡرَ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمِ دِينٗا فَلَن يُقۡبَلَ مِنۡهُ﴾ [ال عمران: ٨٥] ‘‘যে ব্যক্তি ইসলাম ছাড়া অন্য কোনো দীন অনুসন্ধান করে, তা কখনোই তার কাছ থেকে গ্রহণ করা হবে না’’। [সূরা আলে ইমরান, আয়াত: ৮৫] এ দীনকে পরিপূর্ণ করার ঘোষণাও আল্লাহ আল-কুরআনে দিয়েছেন, ﴿ٱلۡيَوۡمَ أَكۡمَلۡتُ لَكُمۡ دِينَكُمۡ وَأَتۡمَمۡتُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ نِعۡمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمَ دِينٗا﴾ [المائ‍دة: ٣] ‘‘আজ আমি তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের দীনকে পরিপূর্ণ করে দিলাম এবং ইসলামকে তোমাদের জন্য দীন হিসেবে মনোনীত করলাম।’’ [সূরা আল-মায়েদা, আয়াত: ৩] এ ঘোষণার পর আল-কুরআন ও সুন্নাহ’র বাইরে দীনের মধ্যে নতুন কোনো বিষয় সংযোজিত হওয়ার পথ চিরতরে রুদ্ধ হয়ে গেল এবং বিদ‘আত তথা নতুন যে কোনো বিষয় দীনী আমল ও আকীদা হিসেবে দীনের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হওয়াও হারাম হয়ে গেল। এ আলোচনায় বিদ‘আতের সংক্ষিপ্ত পরিচয় তুলে ধরার পাশাপাশি কীভাবে আমাদের সমাজে প্রচলিত বিদ‘আতগুলোকে সনাক্ত করা যায় সে সম্পর্কিত মূলনীতি তুলে ধরা হবে। বিদ‘আতের সংজ্ঞা: বিদ‘আত শব্দের আভিধানিক অর্থ হলো: ا...

Whoever Does not Supplicate to Allaah, then Allaah is Angry with him – Shaykh al-Albaani

Suhih Muslim  Book 41, Number 6: Harith b Abi Rabi'a and 'Abdullah b. Safwan both went to Umm Salama, the Mother of the Faithful, and they asked her about the army which would be sunk in the earth, and this relates to the time when Ibn Zubair (was the governor of Mecca). She reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) had said that a seeker of refuge would seek refuge in the Sacred House and an army would be sent to him (in order to kill him) and when it would enter a plain ground, it would be made to sink. I said: Allah's Messenger, what about him who would be made to accompany this army willy nilly? اللّٰہُ لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّا ہُوَ ۙ الۡحَیُّ الۡقَیُّوۡمُ ؕ﴿۲﴾  অনুবাদঃ  আল্লাহ, তিনি ছাড়া কোন ইলাহ নেই, তিনি চিরঞ্জীব, চিরপ্রতিষ্ঠিত ধারক। -(আল-বায়ান) আল্লাহ, তিনি ছাড়া সত্যিকারের কোন ইলাহ নেই, তিনি চিরঞ্জীব সকলের রক্ষণাবেক্ষণকারী।  -(তাইসিরুল) আল্লাহ ছাড়া কোনই ইলাহ (উপাস্য) নেই, তিনি চিরঞ্জীব ও নিত্য বিরাজমান। -(মুজিবুর রহমান) তাফসীরে আহসানুল-বায়ান (২) আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্য কোন (সত্য) উপাস্য নেই, তিনি চিরঞ্জীব ও সব কিছুর ধারক। [1] [1] حَيٌّ এবং قَيُّومٌ মহান আল্লাহর বিশেষ গুণ। ‘হায়্যুন’এর অর্থ তিনি চিরঞ্জীব, তাঁর মৃত্যু ও ধ্বংস নেই। ‘ক্বায়্যুম’এর অর্থ, তিনি নিখিল বিশ্বের ধারক, সংরক্ষণকারী এবং পর্যবেক্ষক। বিশ্বের সব কিছুই তাঁর মুখাপেক্ষী, তিনি কারো মুখাপেক্ষী নন। খ্রিষ্টানরা ঈসা (আঃ)-কে আল্লাহ অথবা তাঁর পুত্র কিংবা তিনের এক মনে করত। সুতরাং তাদেরকে বলা হচ্ছে যে, ঈসা (আঃ)ও যখন আল্লাহর সৃষ্টি, তিনি মায়ের পেট থেকে জন্ম নিয়েছেন এবং তাঁর জন্মকালও পৃথিবী সৃষ্টির বহুকাল পর। তাহলে তিনি আল্লাহ অথবা তাঁর পুত্র কিভাবে হতে পারেন? যদি তোমাদের বিশ্বাস সঠিক হত, তাহলে সে সৃষ্টি হয়...
