One Who missed the Friday Prayer should pray Zuhr: Fatwa Collection

Question:

If I do not pray the Friday prayer in congregation in the mosque, should I pray it in the house as two Rakahs, with the intention of the Friday prayer, or should I pray it as four Rakahs, with the intention of Zuhr?

Answer:

Whoever did not attend the Friday prayer with the Muslims due to some lawful reason, such as illness or the like, or some other reasons, should pray the Zuhr prayer. Likewise, a woman prays the Zuhr prayer and so does the traveller and those living in the desert, as is proved by the Sunnah, and it is the opinion of the majority of the scholars, and no consideration should be paid to those who deviate from them..

× মৃত্যুর সময় যে আপসোস রয়ে যাবে! রাকিব আলী   -   অগাস্ট ৩০, ২০২৪    ৬৪৮ বার পঠিত   মানুষের সামনে যখন মৃত্যু এসে হাযির হবে, যখন মালাকুল মাউত তার জান ক্ববয করার প্রস্তুতি নিবেন, তখন সে কী নিয়ে আপসোস করবে, জানেন? মৃত্যুর মতো কঠিন মুহূর্তে তার আপসোসের বিষয় হবে দান-ছাদাক্বা। ঠিক এ ব্যাপারে আল্লাহ তাআলা বলেছেন,وَأَنْفِقُوا مِنْ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلَا أَخَّرْتَنِي إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُنْ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ ‘আর আমি তোমাদেরকে যে রিযিক্ব দিয়েছি, তোমরা তা থেকে ব্যয় করবে তোমাদের কারও মৃত্যু আসার আগে আগেই। (অন্যথা মৃত্যু আসলে সে বলবে,) হে আমার রব! আমাকে আরো কিছু সময়ের জন্য সুযোগ দিলে আমি দান-ছাদাক্বা করতাম এবং নেককারদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যেতাম!’  (আল-মুনাফিকূন, ৬৩/১০) । বান্দার এই আক্ষেপের প্রেক্ষিতে আল্লাহ বলছেন,وَلَنْ يُؤَخِّرَ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهَا وَاللَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ‘যখন কারো নির্ধারিত সময় উপস্থিত হয়ে যাবে, তখন আল্লাহ তাকে কিছুতেই অবকাশ দেবেন না। তোম...

Narrated Abdullah ibn Khubayb: We went out one rainy and intensely dark night to look for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to lead us in prayer, and when we found him, he asked: Have you prayed?, but I did not say anything. So he said: Say, but I did not say anything. He again said: Say, but I did not say anything. He then said: Say. So I said: What am I to say? মহান আল্লাহ তার বান্দার নিকট তার পূর্ণজ্ঞান, ক্ষমতা ও মহানত্ব প্রমাণ করার জন্য এই মহাজগৎ সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তিনি এই মহাজগতের সবকিছুকে এমনভাবে সৃষ্টি করেছেন যে, সবকিছুই তাদের প্রতিপালকের প্রশংসাসহ পবিত্রতা বর্ণনা করে। মানুষ যখন এই বিষয়টি উপলব্ধি করতে পারবে, তখন তার প্রতিপালকের ইবাদতের দিকে ধাবিত হবে, যিনি একক এবং যার কোন শরীক নেই। আর সে মহান আল্লাহ ও তার রাসূলগণের আনুগত্যের মাধ্যমে মহান আল্লাহর উদ্দেশ্য বাস্তবায়নে সক্ষম হবে। সাথে সাথে সে আল্লাহর পূর্ণ দাসত্ব ও আনুগত্যে অন্যান্য সৃষ্টির সাথেও অংশগ্রহণ করতে পারবে। ১। আল্লাহ তা‘আলা বলেন: ﴿اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ وَمِنَ الْأَرْضِ مِثْلَهُنَّ يَتَنَزَّلُ الْأَمْرُ بَيْنَهُنَّ لِتَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا (12)) ... Firstly:  It is proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to point with his index finger and move it during the tashahhud when praying.  The scholars differed concerning that and there are several points of view.  1 – The Hanafis say that the finger should be raised when saying “Laa (no)” in the phrase “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha ill-Allaah (I bear witness that there is no god except Allaah)” and it should be lowered when saying, “ill-Allaah (except Allaah).”   2 – The Shaafa’is say that it should be raised when saying “ill-Allaah.”  3 – The Maalikis say that it should be moved right and left until one finishes the prayer.  4 – The Hanbalis say that one should point with the finger when saying the name of Allaah, without moving it.  Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: There is no basis for any of these definitions and manners in the Sunnah. Hadith No 689 To  693 It was narrated from 'Amr bin 'Abasah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever builds a Masjid in which Allah is remembered, Allah, (the Mighty and Sublime) will build for him a house in Paradise."
