Question:

I have heard that drawing the thumb against the middle finger and extending the forefinger and moving it is harsher for the devil then being struck with iron ... to what extent is this narration correct?

Answer:

I do not know anything of this narration, but it is lawful for a person to clench the little finger and the ring finger and to make a circle with the thumb and the middle finger and to point with the middle finger while he is supplicating.

This is My Question to Al itisam desk , Bangladesh h j × প্রশ্ন (৪১): আমি অলী ছাড়া বিয়ে করেছি। পরে জানতে পারলাম যে, অলী ছাড়া বিয়ে বাতিল। পরবর্তীতে তিনবারে মেয়েকে তিন তালাক প্রদান করেছি। এখন কি মেয়েটাকে আমার মোহর দেওয়া লাগবে? প্রশ্নকার : বাপ্পি আসাম, ভারত। উত্তর: প্রথমত, যেহেতু উক্ত বিবাহ সিদ্ধ হয়নি সেহেতু তিনবারে তিন তালাক প্রদান করা অর্থহীন। কারণ তাদের বিয়েই হয়নি। কারণ রাসূলুল্লাহ ছাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ‘যে নারী অভিভাবক ছাড়া বিয়ে করল তার বিয়ে বাতিল, বাতিল, বাতিল’ (তিরমিযী, হা/১১০২; আবূদাঊদ, হা/২০৮৩)। দ্বিতীয়ত, তাকে মোহরানা দিতে হবে। রাসূল ছাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেন, ‘যে কোনো মহিলা তার অলীর অনুমতি ব্যতিরেকে বিয়ে করবে তার বিবাহ বাতিল, তার বিবাহ বাতিল, তার বিবাহ বাতিল। যদি এরপর স্বামী তার সাথে সহবাস করে, তবে স্ত্রী মোহরানার হক্বদার হবে। যেহেতু তার স্বামী তার লজ্জাস্থানকে হালাল মনে করে ভোগ করেছে’ (তিরমিযী, হা/১১০২; ইবনে মাজাহ, হা/১৮৭৯)। তবে এখন তার সাথে সংসার করতে চাইলে নতুন মোহর নির্ধারণ করে অভিভাবকের অনুমতি নিয়ে সাক্ষীর উপস্থিতিতে বিবাহ করতে হবে। ********...

  প্রশ্ন (৩৫/৪৩৫) : ওলী ছাড়াই এক মেয়ের বিবাহ হয়েছে। বিবাহের এক মাস পর মেয়ের অভিভাবক মৌখিক সম্মতি প্রদান করেন। পরবর্তীতে ছেলে তিনবারে মেয়েকে তিন তালাক প্রদান করেছে। এক্ষণে প্রশ্ন হল, ওলী ব্যতীত বিবাহ বৈধ হয়েছে কি? বিবাহ শুদ্ধ করার জন্য অভিভাবকের মৌন বা মৌখিক সম্মতিই কি যথেষ্ট? নাকি পুনরায় ঈজাব-কবুল আবশ্যক? উক্ত তালাক কি কার্যকর হয়েছে? মেয়েকে পুনরায় বিবাহের মাধ্যমে গ্রহণ করা যাবে কি?  উত্তর : উক্ত বিবাহ সিদ্ধ হয়নি। কারণ রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ) বলেছেন, যে নারী অভিভাবক ছাড়া বিয়ে করল তার বিয়ে বাতিল, বাতিল, বাতিল (তিরমিযী হা/১১০২; আবুদাঊদ হা/২০৮৩; মিশকাত হা/৩১৩১)। যেখানে বিয়েই হয়নি সেখানে মৌখিক বা লিখিত সম্মতিতে বৈধতার কোন প্রশ্নই আসে না। অতএব অভিভাবক কর্তৃক সম্মতি দানের পর পুনরায় সুন্নাতী তরীকার নতুন করে বিয়ে করাতে হ’ত। কিন্তু সেটাও করা হয়নি। তাই ছেলে কর্তৃক তালাক দেয়া অর্থহীন। কারণ তাদের বিয়েই হয়নি। তারা ব্যভিচারী। এমতাবস্থায় প্রথমতঃ তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্য তওবা করতে হবে (যেহেতু ইসলামী শরী‘আতের শাস্তির বিধান আমাদের সমাজে নেই)। দ্বিতীয়তঃ অভিভাবকের সম্মতিতে পুনরায় বিয়ে করতে পারে। কারণ রাসূলু...

Qabisah ibn al-Mukhariq reported: When the verse was revealed, “ Warn your closest kindred ,” (26:214) the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, set out to the mountain cliffs and ascended to the highest rock. Then, the Prophet called out, “ O sons of ‘Abd Manafah! I am warning you! Once a person has finished the Prayer, he should make the following supplications: أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ  Astaghfirullāh, astaghfirullāh, astaghfirullāh “I ask Allah for forgiveness”  3 times. (Muslim no. 591) اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ Allāhumma antas-salām, wa minkas-salām, tabārakta yā dhal-jalāli wal-‘ikrām. “O Allah, You are As-Salām (Peace), and from you is As-Salām. The Aad and the Thamud are two nations mentioned several times in the Quran. They are often discussed when Allah is directing our attention to people who disobeyed Him and were punished as a result. The exact time of their existence is nearly impossible to determine.
