Prophet Muhammad: Muhammad (s.w.a) was born in Makkah in the year 570. Since his father died before his birth and his mother died shortly thereafter, he was raised by his uncle who was from the respected tribe of Quraysh. The Quran on the Cerebrum: God has said in the Quran about one of the evil unbelievers who forbade the Prophet Muhammad s.a w from praying at the Kaaba: No! If he does not stop, We will take him by the naseyah (front of the head), a lying, sinful naseyah (front of the head)! (Quran, 96:15-16) Why did the Quran describe the front of the head as being lying and sinful? Why didn’t the Quran say that the person was lying and sinful? What is the relationship between the front of the head and lying and sinfulness? If we look into the skull at the front of the head, we will find the prefrontal area of the cerebrum (see figure 12). What does physiology tell us about the function of this area? A book entitled Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology says about this area, “The motivation and the foresight to plan and initiate movements occur in the anterior portion of the frontal lobes, the prefrontal a...

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all creation, and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and all his Companions. Allah, the Most High, said: وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ وَٱلصِّدِّيقِينَ وَٱلشُّهَدَآءِ وَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ ۚ وَحَسُنَ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ رَفِيقًۭا “Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger―they will be with those on whom Allah has bestowed His Grace and Favour from among the Prophets, the truthful who aided the truth, the martyrs and the righteous―how excellent these companions are!” (An-Nisā’: 69) A’ishah (radiyallāhu ‘anhā) said: A man came to the Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) and said: “O Messenger of Allāh! You are more beloved to me than my wife, my wealth, my property and my son. I was in my home and thought about you and I was not able to be patient un...
Abandoning the Prayer is from the Most Dangerous of Sins (Imām Adh-Dhahabi) Al-Imām Al-Hāfidh Abu Abdillāh Muhammad bin Ahmad Adh-Dhahabi (d. 748H, rahimahullāh) mentioned abandoning the Prayer (As-Salāt) as the fourth major sin in his tremendous work entitled, “The Major Sins (Al-Kabā’ir).” The following is an abridgement of the Chapter: Abandoning the Prayer . Allah, the Most High, stated: فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا – 19:59 “But then, there came after them those who gave up the Prayers (Salāt) and they followed their lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.” (Maryam: 59) إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُولَٰئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا – 19:60 “Except for those who repent, and they believe and do righteousness––they will enter Paradise and will not be wronged at all.”
Narrated Abdullah ibn Khubayb: We went out one rainy and intensely dark night to look for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to lead us in prayer, and when we found him, he asked: Have you prayed?, but I did not say anything. So he said: Say, but I did not say anything. He again said: Say, but I did not say anything. He then said: Say. So I said: What am I to say? He said: Say: "Say, Qulhu allahu aahad, sura falaq and Sura Nas; three times in the morning and evening; they will serve you for every purpose. From Shaykh, Allaama, Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdul Azeez bin Abdullaah Bin Baz by Umm Yahya The Noble Shaykh Bin Baz -Rahimullaah- was asked: ‘The reward for reciting the Book of Allaah is evident. Is there a reward for reading Hadeeth too?’ The Shaykh replied: ‘There is a great reward for reading the Noble Qur’an in terms of coming closer to Allaah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, as is reading and memorizing the Hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam . And this is because it is worship of Allaah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala (in pursuit of) acquiring knowledge and a greater understanding of the religion. Evidence in the Shariah indicates that seeking knowledge and gaining an understanding of the religion is obligatory in order for the slave to worship His Lord upon firm knowledge ( Baseerah ) An example of this evidence is the saying of the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam: ‘Whoever Allaah wills good for He g...
