Hadith on Malice: Repentance not accepted until rancor rejected

 Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The deeds are presented on Monday and Thursday. Whoever seeks forgiveness will be forgiven, whoever repents will be accepted, but the people of grudges are turned away on account of their grudges until they repent.”

Grade: Thiqah (reliable) according to Al-Mundhiri


Imam al-Mundhiri commented, “Grudges are acts of malice.”

الٓـمّٓ ۚ﴿۱﴾ অনুবাদঃ  আলিফ-লাম-মীম।* -(আল-বায়ান) আলিফ, লাম, মীম। -(তাইসিরুল) আলিফ-লাম-মীম।  -(মুজিবুর রহমান) তাফসীরে আহসানুল-বায়ান ১। আলিফ লা-ম মী-ম।  এগুলোকে ‘হুরূফে মুক্বাত্ত্বাআত’ (ছিন্ন অক্ষরমালা বা বিচ্ছিন্ন বর্ণমালা) বলা হয়। অর্থাৎ, একটি একটি ক’রে পঠনীয় অক্ষর। এগুলোর অর্থের ব্যাপারে কোন নির্ভরযোগ্য বর্ণনা নেই। আল্লাহই এর অর্থ সম্পর্কে সর্বাধিক জ্ঞাত। তবে নবী করীম (সাঃ) এ কথা অবশ্যই বলেছেন যে, আমি এ কথা বলি না যে, ‘আলিফ লাম মীম’ একটি অক্ষর। বরং ‘আলিফ’ একটি অক্ষর, ‘লাম’ একটি অক্ষর এবং ‘মীম’ একটি অক্ষর। প্রত্যেক অক্ষরে একটি করে নেকী হয়। আর একটি নেকীর প্রতিদান দশটি করে পাওয়া যায়। (সুনানে তিরমিযী, পরিচ্ছেদঃ ক্বুরআনের ফযীলত, অধ্যায়ঃ যে ক্বুরআনের একটি অক্ষর পড়ে) তাফসীরে জাকারিয়া ১. আলিফ-লাম-মীম(১) আলিফ, লাম, মীমঃ এ হরফগুলোকে কুরআনের পরিভাষায় হরফে মুকাত্তা'আত’ বলা হয়। উনত্রিশটি সূরার প্রারম্ভে এ ধরনের হরফে মুকাত্তা’আত ব্যবহার করা   হয়েছে। এগুলোর সংখ্যা ১৪ টি। একত্র করলে দাঁড়ায়: نَصُّ حَكِيْمٌ قَاطِعٌ لَهُ سِرٌ “প্রাজ্ঞ সত্বার পক্ষ থেকে অকাট্য বাণী যাতে তার কো...

Translated by Abbas Abu Yahya No. 2654 – From Abu Hurairah from the Messenger – sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam – : ‘Whoever does not supplicate (make  Dua’ ) to Allaah, then Allaah is angry with him.’ Collected by Bukhari in ‘Adab al-Mufrad’, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, al-Hakim, Ahmad, Ibn Abi Shaybah, al-Bayhaqi in ‘ash-Shawba’ and by Tabaraani. Once a person has finished the Prayer, he should make the following supplications: أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ  Astaghfirullāh, astaghfirullāh, astaghfirullāh “I ask Allah for forgiveness”  3 times. (Muslim no. 591) اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ Allāhumma antas-salām, wa minkas-salām, tabārakta yā dhal-jalāli wal-‘ikrām. “O Allah, You are As-Salām (Peace), and from you is As-Salām. There is no Creator of this existence except Allah. Allah says: Such is Allah, your Lord! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Creator of all things. So worship and obey Him (Alone), and He is the Wakeel (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian, etc.) over all things. (Al-An`am 6:102) – There is no True Master and Owner present in this existence except Allah. This is known as Tawheed Ar-Rubobiyyah, or the Oneness of Allah in His Attributes of Lordship. This is the belief that there is no Creator, Sovereign Master, Administrator, Provider, Sustainer, and Owner except for Allah: Surely, His is the Creation and Commandment.
