Hadith on Dua: Do not pray against yourself or your family.....

Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do not supplicate against yourselves, do not supplicate against your children, and do not supplicate against your property, lest it coincides with an hour in which Allah is asked for something and He answers you.”

Translated by Abbas Abu Yahya No. 2654 – From Abu Hurairah from the Messenger – sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam – : ‘Whoever does not supplicate (make  Dua’ ) to Allaah, then Allaah is angry with him.’ Collected by Bukhari in ‘Adab al-Mufrad’, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, al-Hakim, Ahmad, Ibn Abi Shaybah, al-Bayhaqi in ‘ash-Shawba’ and by Tabaraani. " Pray as you have seen me praying”  (Sahih Bukhari: 631)   Prerequisites (Shurut) of Prayer (Salah) : Prerequisite means a condition that is required in order for something else to happen and if it is missing, the thing is invalid and unfulfilled e-g Ablution (Wuḍhu) is a prerequisite for Salah. গ্রন্থঃ জাল হাদীছের কবলে রাসূলুল্লাহ (ছাঃ)-এর ছালাত অধ্যায়ঃ ছালাতুল জুম‘আ  জুম‘আর ছালাতের জন্য দুই আযান দেওয়ার যে প্রথা সমাজে চালু আছে তা সুন্নাত সম্মত নয়। জুম‘আর আযান হবে একটি। ইমাম খুৎবা দেওয়ার জন্য যখন মিম্বরে বসবেন, তখন মুয়াযযিন আযান দিবে।[1] রাসূল (ছাঃ), আবুবকর ও ওমর (রাঃ)-এর আমলে এবং ওছমান (রাঃ)-এর খেলাফতের প্রথমাংশে জুম‘আর আযান একটিই ছিল। অতঃপর মানুষের সংখ্যা যখন বেড়ে গেল, তখন ওছমান (রাঃ) মসজিদে নববীর অনতিদূরে ‘যাওরা’ নামক বাজারে জুম‘আর পূর্বে আরেকটি আযান চালু করেন।[2] ওছমান (রাঃ) যে কারণে আরেকটি আযান চালু করেছিলেন, কোথাও উক্ত কারণ বিদ্যমান থাকলে তা এখনো চালু করা জায়েয। কারণ খুলাফায়ে রাশেদ্বীনের সুন্নাতের অনুসরণে ওছমান (রাঃ)-এর আযান যদি সকল মসজিদের জন্য পালনীয় হত, তাহলে তিনি মক্কায় চালু করলেন না কেন? অনুরূপ অন্যান্য মসজিদে চালু হল না কেন? আলী (রাঃ)-এর আমল পর্যন্ত অন্য কোথাও উক্ত আযান চালু হয়নি। এমনকি মক্কাতেও চালু হয়নি। বর্তমানে আমরা কি উক্ত আযান চালু করে ছাহাবীদের চেয়ে বেশী দ্বীনদারীর ভাব দেখাতে চাই? এ জন্যই হয়ত ইবনু ওমর (রাঃ) উক্ত আযানকে বিদ‘আত বলেছেন।[3] অনুরূপ ইমাম কুরতু...

Once a person has finished the Prayer, he should make the following supplications: أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ  Astaghfirullāh, astaghfirullāh, astaghfirullāh “I ask Allah for forgiveness”  3 times. (Muslim no. 591) اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ Allāhumma antas-salām, wa minkas-salām, tabārakta yā dhal-jalāli wal-‘ikrām. “O Allah, You are As-Salām (Peace), and from you is As-Salām.
