Hadith on Dreams: Three types of vision during sleep.....

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most truthful of you are those with the truest dreams. There are three kinds of vision: a righteous vision, which is good news from Allah, a distressful vision from Satan, and a vision arising from oneself. If one of you sees something he dislikes, let him stand to pray and not speak to people about it.”

Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2263

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصْدَقُكُمْ رُؤْيَا أَصْدَقُكُمْ حَدِيثًا وَالرُّؤْيَا ثَلَاثَةٌ فَرُؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةِ بُشْرَى مِنْ اللَّهِ وَرُؤْيَا تَحْزِينٌ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ وَرُؤْيَا مِمَّا يُحَدِّثُ الْمَرْءُ نَفْسَهُ فَإِنْ رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ مَا يَكْرَهُ فَلْيَقُمْ فَلْيُصَلِّ وَلَا يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا النَّاسَ

  Abandoning the Prayer is from the Most Dangerous of Sins (Imām Adh-Dhahabi)  Al-Imām Al-Hāfidh Abu Abdillāh Muhammad bin Ahmad Adh-Dhahabi (d. 748H, rahimahullāh) mentioned abandoning the Prayer (As-Salāt)  as the fourth major sin  in his tremendous work entitled,  “The Major Sins (Al-Kabā’ir).”  The following is an abridgement of the  Chapter: Abandoning the Prayer . Allah, the Most High, stated: فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا – 19:59 “But then, there came after them those who gave up the Prayers (Salāt) and they followed their lusts. The Hasan Hadeeth:  Definition: A report that fulfils the conditions of a Saheeh hadeeth except that one of its narrators or some of them are lesser than their counterparts in a Saheeh hadeeth in terms of precision (الضبط) yet that does not remove it from being used as an evidence in terms of its authenticity. And it is referred to as Hasan li-dhaatihi (الحسن لذاته). More explanation of the terms:  So it meets the conditions of Saheeh hadeeth in terms of: Its chain of narration (isnaad) leads back to the Prophet (salallaahu `alaihi wassallam). The chain of narration is connected all the way back to the Prophet (salallaahu`alaihi wassallam). The narrators are trustworthy. It is free from contradicting any narrations stronger than it.
