ভূমিকা: ‘ঈদ’ (عيد) শব্দটি আরবী, যা ‘আউদুন’ (عود) মাছদার থেকে এসেছে। এর আভিধানিক অর্থ হলো— উৎসব, পর্ব, ঋতু, মৌসুম,[1] প্রত্যাবর্তন, প্রত্যাগমন[2] ইত্যাদি। প্রতি বছর ঘুরে ঘুরে আসে বলে একে ‘ঈদ’ বলা হয়।[3] ২য় হিজরী সনে ছিয়াম ফরয হওয়ার সাথে সাথে ‘ঈদুল ফিত্বর’-এর সূচনা হয়।[4] রাসূলুল্লাহ ছাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মদীনায় হিজরত করার পরে দেখলেন যে, মদীনাবাসী বছরে দু’দিন খেলাধুলা ও আনন্দ-উৎসব করে। তখন তিনি তাদেরকে উক্ত দু’দিন উৎসব পালন করতে নিষেধ করেন এবং ‘ঈদুল ফিত্বর’ ও ‘ঈদুল আযহা’-কে মুসলিমদের জন্য আনন্দের দিন নির্ধারণ করেন। তিনি বলেন,قَدْ أَبْدَلَكُمُ اللهُ بِهِمَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا يَوْمُ الْأَضْحَى وَيَوْمُ الْفِطْرِ ‘আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্য ঐ দু’দিনের পরিবর্তে দু’টি মহান উৎসবের দিন প্রদান করেছেন— ‘ঈদুল আযহা’ ও ‘ঈদুল ফিত্বর’।[5] ঈদের ছালাতের আগে করণীয়: (১) ছাদাক্বাতুল ফিত্বর বা ফিত্বরা আদায় করতে হবে ঈদগাহে বের হওয়ার আগেই। ছোট-বড়, নারী-পুরুষ, স্বাধীন-পরাধীন প্রত্যেক মুসলিম ব্যক্তির পক্ষ থেকে এক ছা‘ (প্রায় ২.৫০ কেজি) পরিমাণ খাদ্যদ্রব্য ফিত্বরা হিসাবে আদায় করা ফরয।[6] উল্লেখ্য, ঈদুল

Daily Hadith (Monday 27th November 2023) From: Sunan Ibn Majah Chapter No. 32, The Chapters on Food Hadith No: 3273 Narrated/Authority of Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said:"When food is served, eat from that which is in front of you, and do not take from what is in front of your companion.'"

Safwan ibn ‘Assal reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “ Verily, Allah has placed a gate for repentance in the west, the width of which is like seventy years of travel. It will not close until the sun rises in its direction. Jubayr ibn Mut’im reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “ Allah Almighty descends every night to the lowest heaven, and He says: Are there any asking that I may give them? Are there any seeking forgiveness that I may forgive them? Qabisah ibn al-Mukhariq reported: When the verse was revealed, “ Warn your closest kindred ,” (26:214) the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, set out to the mountain cliffs and ascended to the highest rock. Then, the Prophet called out, “ O sons of ‘Abd Manafah! I am warning you! Verily, the parable of myself is that of a man who saw the enemy and set out to guard his people, but he feared they might reach them first, so he shouted: Prepare yourselves! ” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 207 Grade:  Sahih  (authentic) according to Muslim

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “ The most truthful of you are those with the truest dreams. There are three kinds of vision: a righteous vision, which is good news from Allah, a distressful vision from Satan, and a vision arising from oneself. Abu Tha’labah reported: The people would set up camp and disperse into the trails and valleys. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “ This scattering of yours into the trails and valleys is from Satan. ” They never set up camp afterward unless they were close to each other, so much so that it was said a single blanket could be spread over them all.
